West London urban ramble
Start: Gunnersbury Park
Finish: Gunnersbury Park
Length: 11.62 km/7.22 miles
Weather: Bright and chilly
I had intended to do a walk further-a-field, but as London and most of the South east had just moved into Tier 4, I thought it best to stay local and keep it simple. Therefore, this was bit of a hastily devised walk.
I started the walk from the car park at Gunnersbury Park and from there walked the outer perimeter path to the gate at the south-west corner.

I then walked under the M4 flyover, past the Sega HQ building and Brentford FC football ground. There was a bit of activity outside the ground and I later found out London Irish were playing Pau, behind closed doors.

At Kew Bridge I turned right and walked along the Thames Path.

Brentford eyot at low-tide, with the sun already getting low.

A colourful mural on the side of a multi-storey car park.

The GSK HQ building from the Grand Union Canal path.

Just past where the M4 crosses over the GUC, I headed right towards Boston Manor.

After a bit of nondescript pavement walking, I got back to the car, just before it was locked-up for the night. Note to self: check car park closing time before embarking on walk!
