Feet First Walking

 

I parked in the garden centre car park, that is no longer run by the NT. The other car park that used to be free is private now!

Looking back on the pictures, I don't remember the weather being this gloomy, but I guess the camera never lies.

 

The Dashwood Mausoleum was built in 1765 on the site of an Iron Age Hill Fort.

 

I turned left here in Allnutt's Wood.

 

The decent to Slough Bottom Wood.

 

 

The valley looking towards West Wycombe, with Hearton Wood on the left.

 

The route continues through this very narrow gap in the hedge on Green End Road. Blink and you'll miss it, as I did not once, but twice.

 

In Bottom Wood, I found this bottom-shaped stump to perch my bottom on and eat my lunch.

 

Near to Ham Farm.

 

Another narrow opening in a bush the route follows into Great Cockshoots Wood.

 

I stumbled across this random, Led-Zep style, runic, symbol.

 

 

The last stretch of the walk, downhill to the car park.
