Cadmore End circular walk no. 1
Start: Cadmore End
Finish: Cadmore End
Length: 12.9 km/ 8 miles
Weather: Sunny with blue skies
The walk starts conveniently close to a cricket pitch, which like the rest of the area is very hilly.
The path splits near to Cadmore End, and I went right.
Walking down, through Hanger Wood, close to the spot where I had a call of nature and accidently dropped my map which ended-up getting very wet. Fortunately I had my wet wipes and hand sanitiser.
Harecramp Cottages.
Twigside Farm, looking back to Hanger Wood.
Bluebells in Parsonage Wood.
Ibstone Church, where I had my lunch and also one of the few places in the Chilterns that actually has benches.
Looking down to Turville Wood.
Looking back towards Hellcorner Farm.
On the path having left the village of Turville and looking towards Poynatts Wood.
Looking back to Turville and the windmill from the edge of Poynatts Wood.
Walking in Poynatts Wood.
The view from Poynatts Wood.
Fingest Church.
The Chequers Inn, where I had a reviving coffee in preparation for the next up-hill section.
Back in Hanger Wood.
And eventually back to the Cadmore End Church, near to where my car was parked.
