Boscastle to Trebarwith Strand
Finish: Trebarwith Strand
Length: 12.6 km/7.8 miles
Weather: Hot and sunny
This walk follows the South West Coastal Path. As it is a national trail, it is well sign posted and easy to follow. I arrived at Boscastle on the 95 bus from Widemouth Bay.
From the bus stop I followed the SW Coast Path signs beside Boscastle harbour.
As I rounded the corner, Willapark Lookout Station came into view.
A wild pony near to Willapark Lookout Station, with Boscastle Harbour in the background.
Short Island, Ladies Window and Manor House.
Willapark Lookout Station in the middle distance and Cambeak just on the horizon.
A Wall Brown butterfly, spotted on the trail.
Lye (nothing to do with the place near Stourbridge) Rock and The Sisters (in the sea).
Descending into Rocky Valley.
The bridge over Rocky Valley.
Looking back from where I'd come from.
The island and new bridge come into view at Tintagel. So too do the crowds of people.
A welcome sheltered section of the path leads out of Tintagel.
Looking back to the island and bridge.
A sea stack near to the end of the walk at Trebarwith Strand.
